Support a Women in Action member by providing a micro-loan for her small business.  Below, please find videos of WIA member who are hoping to receive a loan.  You may provide the entire loan amount requested, or you may make a partial donation toward her loan.  We will update you on the progress of her business throughout the year.   

Edda Andrade. Sewing Business
 Requested loan amount, $300
Edda Andrade is a mother of 5.  She works repairing and designing clothing on her sewing machine.  However, her old machine is falling apart and it does not permit her to do more advanced stitching.  She is hoping for a microloan of $200 to purchase a newer, more modern, sewing machine.

Felipe Amador. Fruit Drink Business
 Loan Amount Requested:  $200
Felipe Amador is a mother of 4.  She makes fresh, homemade drinks in her home.  She carries them in a basket to one of the large industrial parks and sells them to the clothing factory workers during their breaks and lunch hours.  She is hoping for a microloan of $150 to expand her small business and in order to buy fruit in bulk to increase her profit.

Karla Blanco, Fast Food Business 

Loan Amount Requested: $250  

Karla is hoping for a microloan in order to start a fast food business.  She would like  to replace her makeshift wood stove made from a rubber tire (seen in the video) with an efficient, wood burning stove built with bricks.  Karla hopes to cook and sell enchildados, tacas, friend plantians, and grilled meat from her home.
